The Dalā’il al-Khayrāt is a celebrated manual of sending salutations and blessings upon the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) which is recited all across the Muslim world.  Recent years have seen the increasing familiarity of this text amongst Muslims residing in the West.  As a means of increasing this familiarity the following one day course has been planned.  The course is split in to two parts, first:  A lecture regarding various aspects of the Dalā’il al-Khayrāt and second:  A revival of the tradition of reading the text with a scholar who possesses a chain of recital back to the author.

All those who register will be provided with a course booklet (112 pages).  This booklet will contain an introduction to the text in English covering the same topics as discussed in the course.  Likewise it will have a vowelled edition of the Sayyid Ibrahim al-Khalifah edition in Indo Pak script for facilitation of reading.  Added to this some chains of narration from different regions of the Muslims world are included which have been compiled by Shaykh Adil al-Shuaybi.

Students will also receive the text of the supplication (dua) to be recited at completion of the Dalail al-Khayrat, authored by Shaykh Ahmad al-Nakhli.  This will be accompanied by a brief discussion regarding this dua and its author.
