Scholarship

12 January 2023

The Karima Foundation (TKF) is offering two part-funded scholarships that will cover 50% of the Cambridge Muslim College (CMC) fees for the Islamic Psychology diploma.

More information can be found here https://www.cambridgemuslimcollege.ac.uk/programmes/islamicpsychology/. The foundation aims to fund one man and woman who would be able to aid the foundation in its aims to improve the wellbeing of the community of High Wycombe.

Requirements:
TKF have requirements for those who wish to apply (in addition to CMC entry requirements):

  • Must be able to commit to 70hours of volunteer work for TKF. This figure is calculated by the cost of half of the scholarship (£1750) divided by an hourly rate of £25.
  • The applicant must be able to commute to High Wycombe to deliver face to face seminars and/or counselling.
  • A portion of the voluntary commitment (TBC) will include the co-production of a piece of academic work relating to mental wellbeing in the Muslim community.
  • Have a valid DBS (dated within the last two years)
  • Safeguarding training is desirable but not essential.

If you wish to apply you will need to be a competitive candidate for this highly sought after course. The CMC will seriously consider any applicants who apply for TKF's scholarship, but your application will be judged on experience, merit and potential.

The hours which you would work are flexible and would be agreed by yourself and a named project lead. You will be reporting to Iblal Rakha or Asim Ayub  for the duration of your volunteering.

Please note any shortfall in voluntary hours would necessitate refunding the scholarship (shortfall of hours x £25 per hour) which would be payable to TKF.
