Men's Yoga (Ashtanga Vinyasa)

Absolute beginners welcome.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is different from other yoga classes in that the order of postures is always the same – in each class, you will practice a warm-up sequence followed by
a beginners sequence, standing postures, some seated postures and a modified version of the finishing sequence.
The first 8 week foundation course structure is about introducing beginners to the basic techniques of breath and movement. The course is led by the teacher, who will take you through the beginners sequence & the standing sequence gradually over the 8 weeks with a focus on self practicing the beginners sequence by the end of the course.
Getting Started
We will be starting right from the beginning, and move gently into the postures. With regular attendance, you’ll soon be looking forward to the energy and focus the class will bring.
We'll talk through any physical issues or injuries and begin by teaching you the first set of poses. Unlike a “regular” class, we’ll move you along at your own pace. We’ll never force you into a pose you’re not ready for, and each day you come, we’ll continue to methodically build on the previous sessions work. Over time, the goal is for you to develop an independent practice (which is personal to you) that you can even do by yourself at home.
You can expect to practice for approx 45 minutes on your first day, with sessions increasing in time as you progress. There will be guidance on how to practice at home.
